I haven't yet tried the "check for updates" from within the program, but if you try going to the javacool site you'll probably get redirected due to a name change a week or two ago.  They're now at http://www.brightfort.com/downloads.html

(Edit) Check for updates works fine, took slightly longer than usual to connect to server but that's probably part of the redirect.
