pity
a nice solution was renaming some files...
for example the files about script blocking or p2p or instant ,mail and so on

Ahresmai.dll
Ahresmes.dll
Ahresp2p.dll
turn off avast and rename in *.bak

this could help some one to DON't load some providers

maybe a great could be a heuristic engine
maybe only in the pro version.....!
this could be great


a heuristic engine for on demand scanner
maybe only about OLE documents

what do u think about a heuristic engine maybe in on demand scann??!?!

or for example in macro blocker about the ole(doc) macro?!?

Sorry, rename files gone away upon updating... This does not solve the problem...  ;)

Given your reaction we don't expect to integrate the antispam module to the consumer-line products (avast home/pro) anytime soon.

About "avast firewall"... I've said multiple times that to make a quality firewall requires certain degree of expertise and skills in this field. I'm afraid we currently posses none of above. ;) (at least not now)

Instead of making a new firewall from the scratch, the option would be to optionally bundle avast with a 3rd party quality firewall, as a separate product, of course... We're currently investigating the possibilities in this area.
