Buildahome
« on: July 20, 2013, 05:12:47 PM »
I am new on here so please forgive me if I am in the wrong forum, but I am being driven demented by pop ups!  I have run a full system scan, that got rid of 5 infected files and I have run the avast toolbar clean up and that was great, got rid of loads, but I can't get rid of this one, URL begins with
http://www.buildathome.info/  it keeps saying "PC Performance is Poor" and stuff like that
I could post the whole URL if it helps
It seems to be from adyield manager, please help if you can, don't know what else to do  :-\
Many thanks

Hi firstly did you install this programme PPLiveNetwork

Also is the redirect in all browsers

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL
  • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

It seems PPLive network is on my computer, which I share with my sons.  Do you want me to run the OT scan again or did our messages cross?

"Also is the redirect in all browsers" sorry, don't know what this means

OK as long as you are aware of that programme

Do you get the popups in IE, Firefox or both ?

Could you run the OTL fix I posted and let me know if that cures it

Really appreciate your help :)

Laptop is slow, and then freezes, even date won't change! I will run OTL on desk top now, am running all initial scans on laptop currently.
