Color me crazy, but wouldn't it make more sense if avast! just worked when you installed it? Like, download it, install it, and have it turn on without having to jump through a zillion crazy hoops to make it work?
It seems to me that if avast! isn't capable of working the way a software product should work (you know, silly things like turning on when you open it, etc.) maybe it's time to research a more competent software. These are the people that are promising to protect our systems. And yet, in order to turn it on, I have to reboot my system three times, right click the icon, turn around three times, spit under a harvest moon, and sacrifice a small animal to my favorite god. It seems beyond ridiculous. How about if I just turn it on, and it's... um... on?
Anyone going to work on this oh-so-complex problem? Or are we stuck in bizarro-land as long as we are avast! users?
Let me know when the product us updated to reach sane levels of usability. Until then, I'm on a quest for reasonable usable, functional, rational levels of ON vs. OFF.
