Lost realTek sound device after running Avast Clean up
« on: July 26, 2017, 09:43:32 PM »
Hi, I recently ran the Avast clean up app and now my PC (Windows 10) has no sound device listed.
I spent a lot of time with Asus who tried to get the driver re-installed - no luck.
I am sure it was the result of running Avast Clean up - anyone got ideas on how to fix this ??

Can you not manually go to the Asus support website and download the Realtek audio file for you system :-\ Might even be better to go to the Realtek driver support site and download the latest 2.81 audio driver which is what I've been doing with my Asus systems since they were 6 months old and Asus no longer provided updates :(
