Huh, the longest lasting beta version i belive Still working just fine on my end, i hope you guys are close to solve the updating issue with excessive bandwidth usage...

i got once crash with 1095 build ... it already happened to me before in previous beta batch (some months ago) and once or twice with retail version

i'm using quickscan on .zip archives where i get known / unknown samples of malware

avast detects first malware and i click to continue w/o any action (no action) , avast detect second i repeat and then i get ashquick crash in ntdll.dll

it's very rare and random crash and i think it's somehow related to how 'fast' i click on the no action button

i'm unable to replicate it

anyone else noticed this ?

Do you have skins enabled for the Explorer Extension (quick scanner)?
If yes, try to disable them in program settings...

I just tried a manual program update only for it to report I'm up to date with 4.7.1096, tried it again ans second time lucky it is now recognising I need to update. The initial download 721,384 bytes is progressing quicker than I recall with dial-up and completed phase one. Now starting the big push, av_pro_core-3f4.vpu, etc. etc. total 5,997,633 bytes, yawn, I'm of for something to eat

I would have though so it would be crazy to release the update if it hadn't and have millions of users update only to have to do it again later or cause issues with the servers.

I'm guessing it was.

Total time taken for update from 1096 --> 1098 for me was 31 seconds.  I know I am closer to the servers than some but that delivery suggests they are not overloaded right now.

Mind you Alan, we are getting in early where only those on the forums or those receiving push updates are likely to be hitting the servers, but I have just had a 250KB+ VPS update drop in and that was fairly quick.

You are quite right David, but I was surprised at the avast report that it had taken only 31 seconds for me compared with Tech's > 5 minnutes.

I shall leave my older system for a few days and see what happens with it. 

By the way belated congratulations on your relatively new status - sorry I missed it earlier.

A pity tis that in this supposedly English language forum you now have a repugnant title not unlike that of an SS stormtroop commander. 

Whatever is wrong with an English term like Archevangelist or perhaps more modern Superevangelist (leaving room for Ultraevanagelst when you and Tech get older)?  Maybe more recent and sadder history still sways thought in Prague.
