@ sillyspider et al,

Attached below find a Win 10 system that has already been patched but is showing a lower Antimalware client version than yours.  It is not running a third party antivirus at this time.

Important number is Engine Version is reported as higher than 1.1.13701.0  If it is, your WD is patched.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit 22H2 Microsoft Windows Defender - Windows 11 Home 23H2 - Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Avast Premier Security version 24.4.6112 (build 24.4.9067.762) UI version 1.0.803

Hi
I uninstalled Avast.
Let Windows defender update, now okay.
Used Avast clear to remove left overs, Rebooted then something weird happened.

When booting up was  asked to select either boot into Windows 10 or boot with Avast uninstall utility
Anyway did a win 10 reset, now back to normal.

cheers

@ sillyspider,

One thing to consider:  Installing and running a robust image backup system has benefits.
  • If your hard drive dies, all personal files and operating system are archived in one or more current images.  Install your last image onto your new drive.
  • Ransomware gets in and encrypts all your personal files?  Restore the last image.
  • Change/update antivirus programs and don't like the result?  Restore the image you just made.

Windows comes with it's own backup software and it's easy to use and I've always found it reliable.

Well it would be great if it was possible to view the video - google is playing silly buggers with youtube - unless there is something wrong with your URL. It is trying to get me to sign in to view it, even when signed into google it wants me to create a channel even though that is meant for uploading videos. Any other option on the menu on the Left hand column I choose it still wants me to create a channel.

Looks like I won't be using youtube any more.

I really do hate being compelled/pushed into things and I start to push back.

Looks that way, as I have no problem viewing that list and individual videos on it.

I just wonder if the 'edit?o=U' plus the 'video_id=y' have anything to do with it.

I haven't got much of a problem with that, but it still seems screwed up when you do logon and it wants you to create a channel.

You're welcome. :)
@CraigB,
You aren't forced to sign up. If you do, you get a notice when a new video is released. :)
And yes, those browny points are nice. :)

Well if someone wanted to view the video you first linked they are forced to sign up but as I linked there are many other options to view the same information, I couldn't care less about new video notifications or brownie point collecting ;)
