If you aren't a Gamer, turn off the Gaming Mode in Windows 10 v 1703

Unless I turned Gaming Mode off (which I can't recall), there is no Game Mode in Win10 1607 (build 14393.1198). I did a search in the win10 settings and that returned no hits for gaming mode or game mode. Unless this has only been introduced in the Creators update.

I did use the windows icon Win+G and it asks if Do you want to open the Game bar, but it isn't in the Settings Menu. So presumably it is off by default and not in the settings.

Use the Windows and I key to open the Settings Menu:

I opened the Settings as I mentioned, but mine doesn't have the Gaming tile, which is why I had to try searching settings and no dice (excuse the dice/game pun).

I also don't have the Apps tile, probably because I haven't downloaded any Apps from the Apps store and I haven't signed up for an Apps store account. The rest of the tiles are there though.

If you're using the N edition, you need this to fix the missing settings:

I wouldn't know what the N edition is if it hit me on the head :)
Having done a little search - Windows operating systems. Labeled "N" for Europe.

It doesn't mention this on the winver, just the Version number and build. Win10 Home 64bit no 'N' suffix.

If it is I think that there is a lot in that media pack that I don't really want, so I think I will stick with what I have, thanks.

I wonder what happens if and when the UK leaves the EU (Brexit) :D

I oddly enough have noticed there isn't a Gaming Tile in my settings either. Don't know if it matters but I don't do any gaming but do have Nividia GeForce on this Win 10 HP Envy LT.

W10 Home version 1607 does not have the Gaming Mode option.  Maybe there is that?

Well, supposedly Win 10 Pro is for Enterprise environments, so NSFW maybe?   :P

As you can see from my screenshot, I have the Gaming setting in my Pro version. :)

As I mentioned before, I believe it isn't in the settings interface if you aren't using the Creators Update version.

Unless I turned Gaming Mode off (which I can't recall), there is no Game Mode in Win10 1607 (build 14393.1198). I did a search in the win10 settings and that returned no hits for gaming mode or game mode. Unless this has only been introduced in the Creators update.

So have you installed the Creators update on your win10 systems ?
