Ahhh, Okay. That said though, now that XP won't be dealing with those 2 things ... the question, the curiosity is still there. Which of those 4 choices best describes avast 2015's operation on XP given that NG and https scanning aren't running? I would think that it would at the very least have to be at least slightly better than avast 2014. Otherwise there'd be no reason to upgrade from a properly-functioning avast 2014.
Actually, in the past 2 weeks I've been switching back & forth between my Windows XP Dell and my Windows Vista Compaq Presario depending on whether my Dell wants to power up or not. So I'm guessing IF I ever attempted to install avast 2015 on my Windows Vista computer, I WOULD be prompted as to whether I wanted NG and https scanning installed? Or does one only get prompted for that if one first does that BIOS setting change?
