Title: I got Charged by Dri*Avast Software PLS HELP !!!!

Can Someone help me with this. I got charged by Dri*avast Software thru DigitalRiver but I did not order anything. I got no Order ID. No avast Account and did not subscribed to any avast subscription. How can I cancel whatever this is? I dont wanna be charged for something I did not want. Thanks a bunch in Advance.

I tried this already. It's not working for me. I dont have an order ID. No order mail. Or confirmation mail. No avast account. Since i didnt subscribed to any. I tried and followed the steps in cancellation of automatic renewal. But I just end up lost in what to do.  :'( :'(

Thank you for your message and I do apologize for inconvenience involved. The charge was processed due to the auto-renewal feature enable on your trial subscription. However refund was already successfully processed and you should have it back on your account.

While this is an old topic, I have been researching this same issue as I have just found the same kind of charge in my account. I sent a support message because I am unhappy with this. I had no account with avast or anything and have no record of ever even giving my information to avast. Time has passed since this charge and I looked into banking record because there were some numbers no adding up. Looking for help as well if this thread is of any help as I see someone has helped here. Other threads show those involved in heated debates about the subject, but this is not something I want to argue about. Simply looking for help on the matter and looking for a refund. I made this account just to be able to take place in the forums as well as submit a report. This charge is unidentifiable from the source as I have never received an email from avast in any way, shape, or form nor do I have avast software installed on my devices. Very concerning. Please help if able at all.

It takes 7-10 business days to get a reply. Don't send in a new request since that starts the process all over again.

You wouldn't be charged unless you gave them your credit card info.
Use the following to get help, https://support.avast.com/article/24/ (orders and refunds) if you don't have an order # use 00000000 then explain your problem.

I was also charged both last year and now again.  Contacted them last year and told them I have no idea what this account was and to cancel.  Apparently they did not because another $53 just came out of my bank.  Opened another ticket so lets see if that works.

I have this problem now as well. I tried this already. It's not working - nothing shows up - no ID nothing! I dont have an order ID. No order mail. Or confirmation mail. A have an AVC Ping but there  is no subscribtions - Since i didnt subscribed to any. I tried and followed the steps in cancellation of automatic renewal. But I just end up lost.

Be patient, a refund can take up to 7 business days. Note, don't submit multiple tickets (FIFO).

- Your full name and address--> Digambar Tukaram Katkar

- Full reference line
- If Credit Card: First 6 and last 4 digits of number + card provider--> 545964xxxxxx and 4033, card provider HDFC bank

Hi,

In general, if a user does not receive an order id or a confirmation email, it is because they had a typo in the email address or
they registered for a trial version with an email address they do not/rarely use.

I would suggest that you add any additional email addresses that you might have used to register, to the ticket.
Also, include the below information to the ticket (this will help in tracking down the charge you are referring to).
 Your full name and address-->
- The account holders name if different
- Date of charge-->
- Charge amount + currency -->
- If Credit Card: First 6 and last 4 digits of number + card provider-->
- If PayPal: Invoice ID

I just installed the trial version. they said i have 7 days. but at the 6th day (16/02/2020) they took my money without saying anything. At least they didn't send me any e mail. i checked it everywhere in my mail box. I just have my bank's message.  My GBP 49.99 is gone for nothing. I can't even report this because i don't have any order ID. I need that money urgently. I'm in a middle of money problems. I can't loose that money right now. someone help me please.

Update: I have received a confirmation email of my refund notifying me that the refund will take 5-7 days to be processed. I'll update again when the money is back in my account next week. Again, thanks a lot for paying attention to my request here on this forum.

You signed up for a two month trial of Avast Premium Security (which has been converted to a 1-year subscription after the trial period) using your Comcast address, not the Gmail you contacted us on.
There is no orders under the Gmail and only the 1 order under the Comcast address. Do you want a refund for that order?

I received an email from Paypal saying I paid 79.99 in favor of Digital River. "PAYPAL * DIGITALRIVE AVA". It seems Avast, through Paypal, renew my subscription for Premium?!?! 79.99 ?! I wrote to Avast but I think they will say I did not cancel automatic renewal.

It happened most likely because you signed up for auto renewal.
Uninstalling or stooping the use of the produce doesn't cancel auto renewal. It isn't fraud,
it's lack of follow through on your part for not cancelling the auto renewal.

First posting multiple tickets could actually delay any response as they are dealt with in a FIFO (First In First Out) order this could set you to the back of the order.  Or they could consider duplicated as spam and be removed.

In your support ticket it is important to use the same email address related to your order or they would be unable to find your order.

The most common reasons for non receipt of a renewal notice email are:
Email in the Spam folder of your email provider or email program.
Typo in the email resulting in non-receipt.
The email address is no longer in use.

Not only do people get email responses, but in many cases they have also got an Avast Team member response, which you can see two in this very topic.

We sent you an email on 9/15/20 saying "Your free trial period has ended, and you're now on a regular subscription plan" You placed the order into a dispute 9/18/20. This essentially locks us out of the process and prevents us from providing you with a refund because another party (PayPal or your Bank) is requesting the refund from Digital River on your behalf. In general it takes 5-7 business days to receive funds from the date that the refund request was processed.
That would mean that you should receive your money by the 29th of Sepetermber 2020. If PayPal on the otherhand said that they would not request the refund (from Digital River on your behalf), then please reply to our case/ticket id 11640262 (email) with that information as an attachment. Please PM me if you need any clarification.

I can see that support replied to your case/ticket 12494444 (the others were closed as duplicate) and informed you that your refund request has been processed.
You signed up for a subscription that auto-renewed, with an email address which seemed to have had a typo in it (the letterj was missing compared to your current email address).
Please note that in general, it takes approximately 7 business days to receive the funds into your PayPal/credit/bank account.

That seems incomplete as it would normally include an Order ID.  Which might be the one in your post above.

I had no intentions to order something from AVAST and I have not ordered anything from AVAST. The purchase or "order" how you`re calling it, was done against my will and absolutely illegally. so this fraudulent unauthorized transaction was done by AVAST? And it took several posts, days to recognize that?
Fist of all, could you pls clarify what`s exactly mean "seems to have been processed"? You are not sure?
Secondly, pls explain how you`ve been able to charge my bank card if I`ve never ever gave its details to Avast? My bank began investigation and I believe they will inform me soon. Another thing, I`ve mentioned this in every message I`ve written to you, there were no "orders" at all. It`s only your imagination. I had no intentions to order something from AVAST and I have not ordered anything from AVAST. The purchase or "order" how you`re calling it, was done against my will and absolutely illegally. To clarify, the refund for the order associated with this email address (****susrsali***@gmail.com) has been processed. The order was for the Avast Premium Security trial subscription. For a trial subscription, one has to enter payment card details before starting a free trial, and you need to cancel the trial subscription before it ends if you do not want to continue using the paid features. If you do not cancel the trial subscription, you are charged for the next subscription period. If you did not receive any notifications, it could imply that you had a typo in your email address or the notification email went to your spam/junk folder. I got it too and it is not Avast>they are getting spoofed and we are the one's paying for it.

If you don't have an order # use 00000000 then explain your problem.

According to our system, it would seem that you were charged for a renewal (Renewed Dec/17/2021) of Avast AntiTrack Premium for Windows. You also had a typo in the email address (gmai.com) that was associated with this subscription. A refund for Order ID 103193074700 was processed Dec/28/2021

My debit card was charged $82.67 and I am not signed up for a renewal or anything. Didn't even receive an email that I ordered anything.  Went to my account and I have no subscriptions!  How can I get a refund without the ID number with no email?
